just passed the tcp/ip n 8,1999. the first 15-20 questions
wre all trancenders happy. ( i even got asked 4 indentical questions with
all the same answers). adaptive is good!!!! don’t get intimidated by it.
1. the backbone of your network is a wnt serv. lately it’s been
experiecing some router overloading or saturation. what do you use to check
it?

2. drag and drop- dhcp definitions:
scope option, dhcp relay agent (answer is remote subnet way of obtaining ip

255.255.252.0- intervals of 8. thus 0-7, 8-15..etc.
4. two questions on wkst.1 could not connect to a local host and remote
host (same wordings)
a. invalid subnet mask a. invalid subnet mask. (no option for d.g.)
5. you want tosee port status?
a. nbtstat or netstat? ( i think it’s nbtstat)
6. two scenario on unix and winnt to be able to browse each other on the
network...
a. know your dns-hostfile, wins-lmhostfile, static entries....etc..
7. sunet 1 and subnet 2 exibit (trancenders) wrkst.1 could not connect to
server on local destination.
a. the exibit shows invalid d.g. (router interface) for 2 wksts. to throw
you off. but you know better. wrong d.g.
8. you can unc a server on remote but could not ftp.
a. no access to ftp directory (braindump)
9. third dns on the net to use for the internet...
a. (no option to configure with cache).....only use as a forwarder for the
prim. and sec.
10. subnets with wins and unix machines....
a. know where to put your dhcp relay agents, unix does not use wins
